Kate visits Chelsea in her hospital room and notes how beautiful the pink roses are from her Theta sisters. Chelsea asks what Billie said on the phone. “Well, I told her that you were recovering nicely so there was no need to fly out,” replies Kate, who states how worried Billie is about her daughter since she calls every hour for an update. Kate relays how she stressed to Billie that Chelsea was under excellent care. Chelsea smiles at what an amazing doctor Daniel is. Kate wonders where the “amazing” Dr. Jonas is. Chelsea says she hasn’t seen him today, which Kate isn’t happy about since Chelsea should be monitored closely. Dr. Jonas himself then enters and is chewed out by Kate for his lack of attention. Chelsea claims she’s fine and doesn’t need to be monitored like a small child. “Everything’s pretty sweet here,” states Daniel as he looks at Chelsea’s chart. “Sweet? Is that doctor talk?” questions Kate. Chelsea translates it to mean that she’s recovering. Kate asks when Chelsea can be released. “Ms. Roberts, are you unhappy with me?” asks Daniel. Chelsea asks her grandma to be nicer to Daniel, who believes she’ll be ready to go home tomorrow. Daniel proceeds to go check on Bo, but tells Chelsea to page him if she needs him. After he exits, Kate notes Chelsea’s lack of enthusiasm for leaving the hospital. “Of course I wanna go home. Do you honestly think I like lounging around in this hospital gown, and eating food that looks and tastes like plastic?” refutes Chelsea. Kate believes she doesn’t mind as long as Dr. Jonas is around. Chelsea denies for the upteenth time having a crush on him, but Kate notes how Chelsea dissolved into a giggly little schoolgirl as soon as the doctor walked through the door. Chelsea says she admires the doctor, but that’s it. Kate suspects otherwise.
Nick visits Chelsea and brings her flowers. Kate gives them some privacy. Chelsea notes how pretty the flowers are and thanks him. Nick asks what “Teddy” is doing stuck behind her pillows. Chelsea deduces that he got stuck there when she was sleeping. Nick then asks when she gets out of there. Chelsea relays that Daniel said tomorrow, but she’s not exactly jumping for joy. Nick questions if something’s wrong. Chelsea admits that she feels as though this might be an opportunity to be a better person and wants to continue down this path, rather than resorting to the “old” her. “The old you did an extraordinary thing,” notes Nick, who questions if this new path includes him. Chelsea claims it does. Nick then takes a deep breath before he admits that a small microscopic part of him was angry at her when she agreed to be her dad’s donor. He felt guilty, but also felt as though she was sacrificing their future together. He states how proud of her he is and professes to love her. “I love you too,” she says.
Kate returns to Chelsea’s room after Nick leaves and asks how her visit with Nick went. Chelsea says they had a good talk. “That’s nice,” quips Kate. Chelsea tells her not to start and requests to see her dad. Kate offers to arrange it. Chelsea thanks Kate for spending so much time with her even though Kate’s busy with her new company. Kate assures Chelsea that she will always make time for her and admits that starting a new company is quite a challenge, but she loves it and loves the new product line. Chelsea questions if Kate’s chosen between Tony or Anna’s ad agency. Kate says not yet, but would prefer to go with Tony over that “obnoxious blonde,” even though Anna came up with some pretty good ideas. She then asks Chelsea for her input on the line, since she needs a younger perspective. Chelsea doesn’t want to get in the middle, since Morgan works for Tony and Stephanie works for Anna. Kate notes that Chelsea’s already making smart decisions.
A groggy Bo wakes up in his room as Kayla is nearby. He jokes how he’s finding it hard to breathe with her suffocating him and tells her to stop hovering. “Very funny,” she responds. He encourages her to go home and get some rest, but she says she’s in doctor mode for the time being instead of her expectant mother mode. A stubborn Kayka is determined to stay by Bo’s side until Lexie or Daniel is back. Bo implores her to take care of herself and her baby. Kayla insists that if she goes home, she’ll just be worried sick about him. “You’re the best sister a guy could have, a fantastic doctor,” he praises. “I owe you my life,” he says.
Bo later moans how he misses his wife, bed, and baby girl. Kayla brings up Shawn sailing around the world with his family. Bo expresses his disappointment in not getting a chance to check out Shawn’s boat. He reminisces over sailing around the world with Hope and Shawn and remarks what a sense of peace sailing gives him. Kayla wonders if sailing with Claire is a good idea. Bo marvels how it was the best time of his life, but worries over Shawn sailing over some open seas that can get pretty treacherous. Kayla assures Bo that Shawn’s a good sailor, since he learned from the best. “Well, thank you,” smiles Bo. “I was referring to Pop,” chuckles Kayla. Bo admits how much he’ll miss Shawn. Steve then enters wanting to take Kayla home, but she refuses to go anywhere until Lexie or Daniel returns. The guys note Kayla’s stubbornness.
Kayla asks Bo if there’s anything of Pop’s that he wanted in particular. Bo reminisces over fishing with Pop at the lake every Saturday. Kayla confesses that she took the fishing poles, since she thought she and Steve would take the baby fishing one day. Bo then requests Pop’s pocket watch, but Kayla says that Roman took that. Daniel enters Bo’s room and asks if he’s interrupting. Steve asks where he’s been. “I didn’t realize the Bradys were such a high-maintenance crowd,” replies Daniel. Steve and Kayla inform him about Dr. Nolan wanting to increase Bo’s anti-rejection meds and add an experimental one. Daniel assures them that it won’t happen again and encourages Kayla to go home for a much needed break. Bo says he can now get some sleep before Hope comes back.
