As EJ pumps some iron, Sami enters the gym and hops on the treadmill. A gym patron named Chris introduces himself and notes Sami’s cute shirt. Chris then notices Sami looking at EJ. “Who’s the tall drink of water?” he questions. Sami tells him to watch it, in that he’s taken. “Yeah, by Miss Thing,” he notes as he points to Nicole. Sami is appalled. Nicole approaches her “good friend Sami” and asks what she’s doing. Sami claims she was invited by her friend Chris. Nicole gloats how her friend EJ invited her down to do a few “laps.” After EJ and Nicole walk away together, Nicole loudly suggests working out a few kinks in the steam room. Sami sees them head into the steam room and tells Chris that the “hot guy” went into the steam room with the girl whom she hates. Chris assumes she wants him to eavesdrop for her and eagerly agrees to the task.
EJ and Nicole head into the sauna together dressed in towels. Nicole locks the door and sits down and kisses EJ. Meanwhile, Chris heads to the sauna and finds that the door is locked. His mouth drops open when he hears Nicole moaning inside.
Sami takes her frustrations out on the punching bag when Chris comes back from the steam room and gives her the scoop. “I think he and his lady friend were getting in on. But if it makes you feel any better it sounds like he was really good,” he says enthusiastically. Sami marches over to the steam room and nearly pounds on the door, but storms off instead. Inside the steam room, EJ and Nicole are making out before he admits what a beautiful, tempting woman she is, but he loves Samantha. “Who said anything about love?” retorts Nicole. They get hot and heavy again.
At the Brady Pub, Chelsea thanks Kate for inviting her out. Kate notes that Chelsea looks absolutely fabulous and asks how she’s feeling. Chelsea smiles that she’s better now that people have quit asking. She wants Kate’s advice on how to make a guy realize that he loves her, like Daniel. She beams about what an amazing guy Daniel is and confesses that she broke up with Nick, since she knew she had a thing for Daniel the moment she met him. Kate believes Daniel would be very lucky to get Chelsea. “Yeah, except that he doesn’t want me,” shrugs Chelsea. Kate wonders what Daniel’s problem is. Chelsea shares how Daniel blames himself for his wife’s death, which is why he doesn’t want to get involved with her. She asks Kate to tell her what to do.
Nearby, Ava urges Angelo to spill what he knows about her father. Angelo reveals that Martino wanted her out of the way today so he and some of the fellas could take care of Patch. Ava calls her father, insisting she needs to talk to him right now. After she hangs up, Angelo admits he’s sick and tired of Martino pulling his strings like he’s some puppet. Ava vows that her father’s days of controlling her are over now that she’s off the meds.
Kate advises Chelsea to get as far away from Daniel as she possibly can, since it may save her some pain from getting involved with a man who can’t commit. Chelsea insists that he can commit, he’s just afraid to. Kate believes she’ll always take a backseat to Daniel’s wife. A defensive Chelsea points out that her grandmother has the worst experience with men. Kate says it’s exactly the reason why Chelsea should let her help. “This coming from a woman who’s been spotted with a guy like Martino Vitali?” Chelsea brings up. Kate claims Martino is a very old friend and has nothing to do with what Chelsea’s going through. In walks the Devil himself. He tries to give Ava a kiss, but she backs away and tells him to sit down. “What are you gonna do with Patch?” she demands. Martino denies any involvement. She warns him to call it off. Otherwise, he’ll be sorry.
Kate confirms that Martino was a part of her past, but he means nothing to her now. She muses that she’s known enough men with issues which have prevented them from being in a relationship. She predicts that until Daniel deals with what happened with his wife, he won’t want to get involved in another relationship. Chelsea isn’t exactly thrilled to hear this. In walks Daniel, who heads for the bar and then stares at Chelsea. Kate insists that she wants Chelsea to be happy, but doesn’t believe she will be if she keeps running after Daniel. The ladies exchange “I love yous” before Kate leaves. Daniel sits with Chelsea and admits he talked to a shrink tonight. Chelsea asks what he learned. He states that the concept of them isn’t happening right now. Chelsea explains that she had a talk with Kate, who believes she’ll just end up hurt. Daniel refers to Kate as a smart woman. Chelsea believes that Kate’s wrong, but refuses to play silly games and chase after Daniel. She tells him to give her a call when he realizes how great they could be together.
At Bo and Hope’s house, Hope hands Kayla a cup of ginger-lemon tea, Alice’s specialty. Hope receives a call from Bo, who alerts her that Steve’s in trouble and he’s at the pier. He warns her not to say anything to Kayla. Hope agrees to go down to the pier.
At the pier, the hit man continues to aim his gun towards Steve, who plays his harmonica and anxiously waits for Bo. Steve then nervously throws rocks into the water. “Find me,” whispers Steve. The sniper is about ready to fire when Bo points a gun at his head. Hope snatches the gun from the man. Bo reads the man his rights as Hope finds some new evidence in the goon’s pocket. Steve asks Hope about Kayla. Hope says Kayla’s good and back at the house resting. Steve proceeds to head over there.
An anxious Kayla later proceeds to call Steve, but has cramping as soon as she gets up from the sofa. She sits back down and breathes heavily, then lies down in pain calling Steve’s name. She reaches for the phone and calls for an ambulance, revealing that she’s 26 weeks pregnant and going into labor.
Back at the pub, Ava urges her father to call off the hit on Patch if he has ever cared about her. Bo and Hope then barge in, where they officially arrest Martino for two counts of murder, as well as the attempted murder of Steve.
