Jillian Michaels to Guest Star on DAYS

Jillian Michaels, who is known as the tough-loving trainer on the NBC reality weight loss show The Biggest Loser, will make a guest appearance on the Tuesday, April 22 episode of DAYS. According to Jillian’s website, this guest spot marks her initial acting debut.

On this episode, Jillian portrays a personal trainer at the Salem Health Club and interacts with Sami, EJ, Nicole, and Maggie. A little spoiler information about this episode will involve rivals Sami and Nicole bickering by the treadmills. EJ is trying to control them when Maggie and her trainer, Michaels, approach them after finishing their training session. Maggie makes it known that she’s not exactly a big fan of Nicole and starts a heated discussion with her. Michaels picks up on Nicole’s insecurities and the two ladies get into an argument. She lets Nicole know that she’s not in as good of shape as she thinks she is, even telling Nicole to put some food inside her body. Nicole of course is insulted. Before Michaels leaves the health club, she offers Sami and Nicole an opportunity to train with her. Sami is on board but Nicole is unsure.

Of course Michaels already knows Alison Sweeney (Sami), since she hosts The Biggest Loser. However, Michaels still had butterflies in her stomach, according to an Entertainment Weekly article. “I’m so uncomfortable I could die,” Michaels said after rehearsal on the set. Luckily, Alison took very good care of her and tried to make Jillian feel more at ease.

Not only is Michaels a trainer on The Biggest Loser, she’s also a life coach as well as a successful author. Her first book, Winning by Losing: Drop the Weight, Change Your Life, was inspired by her winning team’s losing secrets on the show. Her second book, Making the Cut, focuses on a 30-day diet and fitness plan designed to kick-start weight loss or to help drop those last stubborn 10-20 pounds. Additionally, Jillian combines the best fitness training techniques with her successful tips on nutrition on DVD.

Jillian has 17 years of martial arts practice in Muay Thai and Akarui-Do, in which she holds a black belt.
